// who we are

A penetration testing team in Karachi that proves the risk, not one that forwards a scan

Protonyte is an offensive security practice in Karachi, working with clients in the United States, the UK, Canada and the Gulf. We break into applications, networks and cloud estates with permission, show exactly how far an attacker could get, and hand your engineers something they can fix the same week.

Our testers hold
  • OSCP
  • OSCP+
  • CEH
  • CRTA
  • eJPT
// what we believe

Four things we will not compromise on

01

A finding without proof is an opinion

Every issue we report comes with the request, the response and the steps to reproduce it. If we could not demonstrate it, we say so plainly and mark it as theoretical rather than padding the count.

02

Severity is about your business, not a number

CVSS is a starting point. A medium on a public sign-up form that leaks customer records matters more than a high on a staging box nobody can reach. We rate what it would cost you.

03

The report is for the people who fix it

Developers get the exact payload and the line that accepts it. Management gets one page that says what is at risk and in what order to spend. Nobody gets a 400-page tool dump.

04

A test is not finished until it is fixed

We retest what you patch, at no extra cost, and confirm in writing that the path is closed. A report that sits unverified has not reduced your risk at all.

// how an engagement runs

Nothing happens that you did not agree to

Before anything is touched we agree scope in writing: which systems, which methods, which hours, and who to call the moment something looks like a real incident. Destructive testing happens only where you ask for it.

You get a named engineer, a channel for questions while the work runs, and a same-day call if we find something critical. We do not sit on a severe finding until the report is ready.

Everything we see is covered by an NDA. Evidence is handed over and then removed from our systems once the engagement closes.

// the people doing the work

Certified testers, not a scanning service

Our engineers hold OSCP, OSCP+, CEH, CRTA and eJPT. Those are hands-on, practical examinations: you break into live machines under time pressure and write up what you did. They are not multiple-choice papers.

That matters because automated tools find what they already recognise. Chaining two low-severity issues into account takeover, abusing business logic, or reaching internal services through a misconfigured cloud role takes a person.

We also teach. The Protonyte Academy runs PCSF, an eight-week foundation course for people starting in security, taught from real engagements rather than slides.

What people ask before they call

Where is Protonyte based, and who do you work with?

Our office is in Karachi, Pakistan. We work with organizations here and across the Gulf - the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar - where penetration testing is normally delivered remotely: scoped on a call, run under a signed agreement, reported inside your working hours.

How big is the team, and who actually runs my test?

We are a small, senior team rather than a staffing pyramid, which is deliberate: the person who scopes your engagement is the person who tests it and the person you call when you have a question about a finding. You are told who that is before the engagement starts.

What certifications do your testers hold?

Our testers hold hands-on, exam-proven offensive security certifications, including OSCP, CEH and CRTP - qualifications earned by compromising live lab environments under time pressure and writing up every step, not by answering multiple-choice questions.

Will you sign an NDA before we discuss anything?

Yes, always, and before any scoping detail is shared. Everything we see during an engagement stays confidential, and your data is destroyed at the end of it on a schedule we agree in writing.

Can you work with our auditor or our enterprise customer directly?

Yes. We routinely scope a test to the exact controls an auditor will ask about, and we issue a closure summary after the retest that you can forward to a customer, a partner or a certification body as evidence the work was done and the findings were closed.
